18. Triple Paradiddle

The triple paradiddle comprises of six alternating single strokes and one double-stroke. The first single stroke is accented. The hand combination alternates naturally within itself in each repeat.

The 1/16th-note triple paradiddle is played as follows:

The ride pattern is played between the ride cymbal and the closed hi-hats in an open hand position. The single backbeat is struck on beat 3.
